I have never made a new years resolution about my health or fitness, but it was last year that I really notice that I am getting fat and don’t like the way I look anymore while I was putting together pieces for the ‘a Day at the Beach’ footage. In the past I spent most my time on my bicycle pedaling along the beach at least 80 miles a week going to Hermosa Beach to hang out and drink. Granted I drank more back than, but I was much more active.

In the past couple years I have gone on this training kick, learning new software and techniques — and even though I have cut back my drinking dramatically. I am by no way as active, and mainly sit in front of my computer. I haven’t spent the entire day out on the beach in quite awhile. So my body has become soft and fat is building up. So for the first time I am going to make a conscious effort to look more into what I eat and make time to exercise. Not to prolong my life, just because I don’t like the way I look. I need to cut out all the computer munches that I have let go on for too long.

also have set up my bicycle on a rolling stand (because it is winter outside and I do not like the cold!) and installed a pull up bar in my place. Last night I tried it out, and wow, I am out of shape. Cycling inside and actually not moving sucks, but I can see it can help me with my breathing when I finally get back outside on the beach trail. The pull up bar will help me with my upper body strength and my stomach. Will see how this goes…

I took a picture of me for the ‘before’ pose today, but am too ashamed to show it till I have my ‘after’ picture. So you are just going to have to wait and see how out of shape I am till later.

Welcome to my personal blog, where I usually mention what I have done, events I have been to, stuff I have seen or possibly a thought or two. Its like my personal journal I keep for myself, but if you want to check it out, look at the pictures or watch my videos — feel free. My blog is mostly in a visual form with a little description tagged along with it, as I am not much of a writer.

Enjoy... though beware your about to enter the world of Steven Larson's Mind!
